Engaging Language Activities, Games and Tasks for Autism

My next book for people with autism is on Amazon and Teachers Pay Teachers!

Engaging Language Activities, Games and Tasks for Autism is an excellent parent/teacher resource that targets practical language skills for people with autism. This book is for low functioning to moderate autism and gives options to modify some of the activities by levels. Students will learn conversation starters, understand challenging concepts such as “not” and “neither”. They will describe items, and learn how to answer and ask questions.

Students will practice life skills such as reading a grocery list and telling someone how to locate items. They will learn how to order food and understand party invitations.  In addition, there are basic math tasks that help them pay for items at a store.  Students will learn to use a dictionary, practice filing and/or typing recipes and many other very important life skills.

Many people with autism do not understand the difference between body feelings and emotions and they will have the opportunity to learn the differences.

Being able to communicate with others is an important skill that will benefit your student for the rest of their life. I hope that you love this book and find it very useful to someone that you love. Enjoy your time with your special person. Linda
